Updated: Jul 29, 2019
On the evening of Thursday June 27th, 2019, 8608 Capital Investments hosted a charity cocktail event in La Boutique Noire in Yorkville.
Aylar Mousavi and her sister Lili Mousavi who both suffer from Chiari Malformation are opening the first research fund in Canada for Chiari Malformation in support of SickKids Hospital.
“Chiari Malformation is an extremely under-researched neurological condition, which has many debilitating symptoms and no cure or safe/effective treatments.” Says Ardy Khavari, CEO of 8608 Capital Investments.
Guests were serenaded by the sounds of the extremely talented ten year old violin prodigy Yusuf Tajbakhsh, who recently won second place in the 2019 Canadian Music Competition.
Singer Denver Haylee also graced the boutique with her incredible vocals, as hors d’oeuvres and champagne were served. The event also featured a silent auction boasting many unique items, including 3 autographed Toronto Raptors basketball jerseys donated by player Danny Green, and even a 3,000 Sq. Ft. condominium unit in Miami, Florida offered by Condo Store and 8608 Capital Investments.
Ladybug Florist, Simon Mass, Chabrol Restaurant, Havana Luxe Decor, Mona Lisa Smiles, David Forteau, Giovanna’s Psychic Studio, Baharak M and Jessica Harvey were all present and major supporters of the charity event, donating items and funds, while joining the many guests who attended the boutique for a night of philanthropy, decadence and amusement.
"Proceeds raised throughout the night will be donated to the Chiari Malformation Research Fund with SickKids Hospital. Through events such as this, as well as other venues of fundraising, 8608 Capital Investments will continue to expand the reaches of the Chiari Fund and pledge their continued support to the community of those who suffer around the world.” Said Mo Moradi and Ali Nashid, partners at 8608 Capital Investments.
